Alexander Rodchenko (1891–1956) was a Russian artist, graphic designer, photographer, and theorist, and a central figure of Constructivism. Rodchenko is best known for his photomontages, diagonal compositions and experimental photography. Explore related designers including El Lissitzky and László Moholy-Nagy. David King (1943–2016) was a British graphic designer and art director best known for his influential work as art director of The Sunday Times Magazine in the 1960s and 70s, and for his extensive collection of Soviet visual culture. He studied at the London College of Printing and worked alongside Michael Rand at The Sunday Times. His application of Constructivist graphic principles to editorial design was highly influential on British design. His collection of Soviet posters, photographs, and documents, over 250,000 items! Jan Slothouber and William Graatsma’s Cubic Children’s Stamps of 1970.
