Details

Herbert W. Kapitzki
Herbert W. Kapitzki was a German graphic designer, born in Danzig in 1925. He studied painting and graphics in Hamburg and Stuttgart, and worked independently in visual communication. In 1956, on behalf of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics, he began working in environmental design and founded the "56" working group for Graphics and Economics in the Stuttgart region. In 1964 he accepted a temporary position at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Ulm, which the following year became a full professorship, thus combining research and teaching in the spirit of visual design arts.
