Cover-Picture shows a locomotive in front of the KRAUSS-MAFFEI AG in München-Allach. This type of engine bears the serial sign “S 3/6” and was designed and manufactured in 1908 by J. A. Maffei for the then Royal Bavarian Railways. The locomotive now standing as a monument on the premises of the works was the 139th of its kind and was sold 1928 to the then German Reichsbahn. Until it was put out of service in October 1963, it covered almost 3 million kilometers. We reproduce it here as a symbol of IVA
