Massimo Vignelli
Massimo Vignelli was born in Milan in 1931 and studied at the Brera Academy and after at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Venice. From 1965 to 1972 he was a founding member of Unimark International Corporation. In 1972 alongside his wife Lella, he founded Vignelli Associates. Vignelli's work was defined by a strict adherence to a small number of typefaces,  mainly Helvetica, Bodoni, Futura, and Century Expanded. His 1972 New York City subway map, developed with Bob Noorda, remains one of the most debated pieces of information design in American history. His output extended across graphic design, packaging, furniture, and product design. Explore related designers including Ivan Chermayeff and Wim Crouwel. Dick Elffers and his 1972 Holland Festival and Floriade stamp designs

Dick Elffers, had been the chosen designer for the printed matter of the Holland Festival for much of the festival's years, he used a painterly style for his work with the festival between 1954 and 1965 and later a more abstract style between 1969 and 1972. As well as publicity design, Elffers was commissioned to design the summer stamps to promote the Holland Festival in 1972.
