Takenobu Igarashi
Takenobu Igarashi was born in Tokyo in 1944 and is best known for his three-dimensional typographic sculptures, letterforms and blending graphic design and architecture. He studied at the University of California Los Angeles, and established his own studio in Tokyo in 1970. His work for the Los Angeles Olympic Games (1984) and his alphabet sculptures are among the most recognised examples of typographic experimentation in postwar Japanese design.
