Massimo Vignelli (Unimark International)
Massimo Vignelli was born in Milan in 1931 and studied at the Brera Academy and after at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Venice. From 1965 to 1972 he was a founding member of Unimark International Corporation. In 1972 alongside his wife Lella, he founded Vignelli Associates. Vignelli's work was defined by a strict adherence to a small number of typefaces,  mainly Helvetica, Bodoni, Futura, and Century Expanded. His 1972 New York City subway map, developed with Bob Noorda, remains one of the most debated pieces of information design in American history. Industrial Design
Industrial Design was an American design magazine, primarily focused at professionals in industrial design. It was first published in 1954, by Charles Whitney, with Alvin Lustig as art director.
