Massimo Vignelli
Massimo Vignelli was born in Milan in 1931 and studied at the Brera Academy and after at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Venice. From 1965 to 1972 he was a founding member of Unimark International Corporation. In 1972 alongside his wife Lella, he founded Vignelli Associates. Vignelli's work was defined by a strict adherence to a small number of typefaces,  mainly Helvetica, Bodoni, Futura, and Century Expanded. His 1972 New York City subway map, developed with Bob Noorda, remains one of the most debated pieces of information design in American history. His output extended across graphic design, packaging, furniture, and product design. Explore related designers including Ivan Chermayeff and Wim Crouwel. Jazz Journal was first published in 1946 by Sinclair Traill, who also had some of his photographs used on the covers. The magazine is now online but remained in print for several decades, as Britain's longest enduring jazz magazine.

Guillermo Gonzalez Ruiz by Sigwart Blum, 1964

A few years ago the publicity department of Siam di Tella found a collaborator who early in his studies of architecture was attracted by the problems of visual art. His name is Guillermo González Ruiz he was born in Chascomus (Province of Buenos Aires) in 1937. Between 1957 and 1960 he received 18 awards in poster competitions, some of which were of particular importance.
