David Carson

David Carson is an American graphic designer and design director known for his experimental typographic work and distinct style. He worked as an art director for various magazines, including Self and Musician, Transworld Skateboarding, Beach Culture and Ray Gun. He now runs his design firm, David Carson Design, which has attracted clients such as Pepsi, Nike, American Airlines, Atlantic Records, Audi, Levi's, MTV, Nike, Pepsi and Ray Ban. Raygun

Raygun was founded in 1993 by photographer and publisher Marvin Scott Jarrett. The distinct design of the magazine is by David Carson. The experimental typographic style became an icon of design history and challenged the conventions of legibility.
