Jean Colin
Jean Colin was a French graphic designer. Born in Paris, he created numerous posters for French and foreign clients and received the Prix de l'Académie de l'affiche, the gold medal of honour of the S.E.A.L., the medal for the most beautiful French poster in 1959, the Grand Prix de l 'emballage in 1965, the Prix National de l'affiche de la Galerie des Arts in 1970. Arrows of Advertising – An Australian Shell Poster Campaign designed by Frank Eidlitz

A total of 24 posters were created for the campaign during 1964, using the arrow symbol as a key features, representing power, motion and speed. The handmade lithographs use up to 19 colours, which were individually printed at large scale. The posters also utilise the brand colours red and yellow from Shells corporate identity.
