Westvaco Inspirations was a graphic arts publication produced by the Westvaco Corporation (formerly the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company) to showcase typography, photography, illustration, and other graphic innovations on papers made at its mills. Created as a promotional tool to demonstrate printing techniques and paper quality, the publication reached an audience of 35,000 designers, printers, educators, and students. This particular issue is a standout—designed by Thompson himself and printed to the highest standards of the era.
