Karl Schulpig was a German artist and designer, known especially for his woodcut illustrations and trademark designs. He is considered one of the fathers of modern logo design, alongside Wilhelm Deffke. Schulpig became well known in the 1920s and 1930s for his reduction in form in both advertising and trademark/logo design.
