Kurt Hauert was born in 1924 in Aarau, Switzerland and was a graphic designer, educator, and visual artist. His career spanned multiple decades, with output in poster design, catalogues, and exhibitions. He studied at the Allgemeine Gewerbeschule Basel (AGS) in the late 1940s and began teaching there in 1950, working alongside Emil Ruder and Armin Hofmann.
