Louis Danziger studied at the Art Center School, Los Angeles, under Alvin Lustig in 1947 , and in 1948 at the New School, New York, under Alexey Brodovitch. At the age of fifteen he was an apprentice in the art department of a New York printing firm. During his studies in New York he worked for Esquire magazine and in 1949 he returned to California, where he worked as a freelance designer and consultant. He was represented in many major art directors’ and type directors’ shows, the AIGA Printing for Commerce and other exhibitions. His clients includes the Dreyfus Company, Clinton Laboratories, Container Corporation of America and Gelvatex Coatings Corporation and in 1955 he designed all the printed material for the International Design Conference at Aspen.
