Marian Stachurski studied under Henryk Tomaszewski at the Academy of Arts in Warsaw, specialising in posters and graphic design. While still a student, he worked for Czytelnik publishing and went on to design over 100 book jackets. A regular contributor to Polonia magazine, his posters have been exhibited internationally and won numerous awards.
