Rubén Fontana studied in Buenos Aires and was graphic designer for agencies. From 1966-70 he worked for the Torcuato Di Tella Institute designing posters in common with Juan Carlos Distéfano. In 1971 he formed the visual communication studio Distéfano + Fontana.
