Designer: Shin Matsunaga

Shin Matsunaga was born in Tokyo in 1940. He graduated from the Department of Design at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1964. In 1971, after working in the Advertising Division of Shiseido Co., Ltd., he founded Shin Matsunaga Design Inc.

Matsunaga has received numerous prestigious awards, including the JAAC Special Award, Tokyo ADC Awards, gold medals in the 1st and 2nd Japan Graphic Design Exhibitions, the Grand Prize for Package Design in Japan, the Mainichi Design Award, and gold and honorary awards at the International Poster Biennale in Warsaw.

In December 1924, the Netherlands introduced children's stamps (Kinderzegels). Over the years, these stamps have featured designs by some of the most prominent Dutch designers, including Gerard Kiljan, P. Koch, Gerrit Noordzij, Otto Treuman, Robert Deodaat Emile ‘Ootje’ Oxenaar, Dick Bruna, Jan van Toorn, and Karel Martens.
