‘In the 1920s and 30s Schuitema was along with Piet Zwart and Gerard Kiljan one of the pioneers of New Typography and New Photography in the Netherlands. They distinguished themselves by conveying the message in a clear concise and forceful manner. This first monograph traces not only his graphic work but also his activities as a photographer film maker and furniture designer.’

The identity manual consisted of 130 pages of information and brand usage with Arie J. Geurts heading up the project as design director, (who later headed up his own design studio in Los Angeles). The identity uses minimal colour and focuses on a consistent brand blue in all communications.
Oskar Reiner advertisements for Opel distinguish themselves by clarity and visually appealing conception.

As part of an ongoing series showcasing Swiss poster designs from the 1950s and 1960s, this article features 1961 poster entries of Die besten Plakate des Jahres (The Best Posters of the Year) 1961. Originating in 1941, Die besten Plakate des Jahres initially served as a platform for the evaluation and showcase of Swiss posters.

Omnibus was Published by the journalism working group of the Technical University of Braunschweig. A square publication measuring 290mm. The publication included features on politics, arts and culture. With advertisements carefully selected to be in keeping with the visual aesthetic. Content also included exhibition information and a fine example of concrete poetry, among artists such as Schröder-Sonnenstern and Sine Hansen.
